Martin Beer
Optometrist, MSc in Clinical Optometry, FAAO
Throughout my career spanning over 35 years in optometry, I have dedicated myself to helping people see and perceive the world more clearly. After earning my Master of Science in Clinical Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in the USA, I developed deep expertise in binocular vision correction, digital fundus examination, and behavioral optometry.
For the past two decades, I have focused on the holistic promotion of perception through functional optometry and neurostimulation, working closely with ophthalmologists across Switzerland.
I support my patients with individually tailored visual training and neurostimulation programs designed to maintain balance in the autonomic nervous system and improve visual and auditory processing.
Before this, as Managing Director and Owner of Wegmüller Optik AG in Huttwil, I pioneered the implementation of computer-tomographic preventive examinations for glaucoma and macular degeneration, as a primary eye-care provider with regard to early detection and a timely referral to an ophthalmologist.
My passion lies in helping people of all ages optimize their perception and sustainably improve their quality of life. I believe in a personalized approach that includes optometry, visual training, and neurostimulation to address the whole person, recognizing that optimal perception is foundational to overall wellbeing and quality of life.
